One Pallet tank (for regenerating on exchange base) with Salt (NaCl) mixed with Soft fresh water, from the Fresh Water Generator, for the optimal Brine Concentration. The Pallet Tank to be installed on the Main deck or anywhere else, for easy exchange. Direct connected to the Activated Water Panel.
The Activated Water Panel (AWP) with the Activated Water System (electrolytic cell technology which are combined with ion selective membranes) supplying the ANOLYTE and CATOLYTE. The unit can be located any where inside the engine room and consist of one or more panels depending of the capacity required. Each panel has dimensions of H-1600xW-1100xD-600 mm. The CATOLYTE is during the process, led directly to the Ballast Tanks.
The ANOLYTE is led to any tank available or built into the vessel for the storage during the period for production of the ANOLYTE
The Soft fresh water is taking direct from the Fresh Water Generator before the Re-Hardening filter (if such is installed)
The ANOLYTE is injected into the Ballast Water System by a Dosing Pump that can be located any where between the ANOLYTE storage tank and ballast water intake connection(s).
A Monitoring System, for monitoring the Redox Potential in the individual Ballast Water Tanks and on the Ballast Water Discharge system.
The total system including the Monitoring system is operated by PLC placed in the AWP.
